The reporting loop

What happens between dictation and sign-off

Six steps, in the order they run.

01Dictate

Dictate at the cursor.

Your words land in the report where you are working. Open Dictate to auto-place when you want the template to receive them.

  • Three reporting languagesEnglish, Dutch, and French, transcribed live with low latency.
  • Your microphone and buttonsBuilt-in and USB microphones, Philips SpeechMike, WebHID buttons, and keyboard shortcuts.
  • Optional auto-place boxThe report is the default target. The box is opt-in when you want template placement on stop.

02Automatic cleanup

Commands tidy. Wording waits.

  • Spoken commands become marksPeriod, comma, and the other commands you configured turn into punctuation before the line is kept.
  • Spoken numbers become digitsClear number words compact to digits. Ambiguous quantities wait for Review.
  • Wording never applies by itselfSpelling, grammar, and terminology wait in Changes as a suggestion you accept or reject.

03Auto placement

Your dictation lands in your template.

Revelar copies your dictated text into the sections and fields you authored. Every placement leaves a receipt you can undo.

  • Only your own fieldsPlacement stays inside the sections and fields of the template you selected.
  • Every placement is reversibleEach receipt shows where the text went. One tap puts it back.
  • One sentence, several fieldsWhen a sentence covers more than one field, Revelar proposes a split. It lists every line it would write, and you Apply or Decline.

04The Check

The report is checked when you stop dictating.

When you stop, Revelar re-reads the report and shows wording suggestions and flags. Nothing applies until you decide. You can also run Check yourself.

  • Starts when you stopReview starts on its own when the microphone goes quiet. You can also run Check yourself.
  • Every pass is namedYou see which pass is running, in the same order the server runs them.
  • It checks its own workA final verify pass re-reads your dictation before any suggestion reaches you.

05Review

You decide what stays.

Every wording change arrives as an exact before and after. Accept it, reject it, edit it, or leave it pending. The report does not change until you decide.

  • Exact before and afterYou see the sentence as it is and as it would be, word by word.
  • Stale suggestions cannot applyIf you edit the sentence first, the suggestion locks itself out instead of overwriting your edit.
  • Pending is a valid answerLeave a suggestion open and keep working. Nothing expires into the report.

06Flags

Ambiguity is flagged, not resolved.

Revelar does not guess at an ambiguous dictation. It flags the sentence and states what it could not resolve, in the language you report in.

  • The reason is always visibleEach flag states what it could not resolve. The reason never hides behind a toggle.
  • No silent repairAn ambiguous measurement or term is flagged, never quietly turned into something you did not dictate.
  • Read before you applyWhere a rephrase is offered, the full replacement text is shown first. Applying it is your tap.

Your templates

Author your sections and fields once. A matching template can apply itself when you lock the study.

Study context

Pick a modality and a body region, or combine them. The choice locks for the session and tunes transcription to that anatomy.

Memory

Correct a term once and Revelar offers to remember it. Every later use is a suggestion you approve.
